DOORS 9.6.1 VS DOORS 9.3

Hi,

For 5 years ago, I worked with DOORS 9.3. I have developped many DXL programs that worked in this environment, in addins menus.

Now, I've installed DOORS 9.6.1 because I needed it for RPE Exports. But there are some dxl programs that does not work anymore in addins menus, They work fine when I launch the programs by Tools / Edit DXL / Load.

When launched via addins menu, the following error appears :

-E- DXL: <Line:1> Impossible d'ouvrir le fichier d'inclusion (C:\Program Files\IBM\Rational\DOORS\9.6/lib/dxl/addins/SCLE/Rédaction/Saisie Algo Interface_Vxx.dxl>) (Invalid argument)
-E- DXL: <Line:1> syntax error

Note that there is no inc file in this dxl file !!!!!

Does someone know how to resolve that problem ? I imagine it cannot find the file because of / and \ in the path !

Hi Estebell,

the message says that the file Saisie...dxl itself cannot be found.

Does this file exist in your new client? It seems that this file had been copied to your Doors_home-directory manually or as part of the installation.

Perhaps you have a problem with the é.(in Rédaction). Can you rename this directory (and the reference to it in SCLE/SCLE.idx) and try if it works then?

Perhaps DXL security has been set up in your database so that DXL files may only reside in DOORS_HOME - Directory and not in any other directory given by variables like ADDINS?

Hope this helps,
Mike

Yes that's it !

In DOORS 9.6 we cannot have path with accents or other special characters.

Tank's a lot !
